Viking Farm Rules

BY INVITATION OF CLAN RÚNDA

We welcome you onto our homestead. This is a beautiful event space, but first and foremost it is our home—a living, working farm shaped by daily labor and long-held tradition.

You enter these grounds as our guest. We ask that you walk them with respect and appreciation for the land, the animals, and the people who care for both.

The following rules exist to protect this place and the experience we are offering. By stepping foot upon these grounds, you agree to honor them. Disregard them, and your stay will be brief.

ON HONOR, BEHAVIOR, AND NOT BEING A PEST

All guests are expected to conduct themselves with basic courtesy, respect, and a minimum level of self-awareness. Harassment, intimidation, aggressive behavior, destruction of property, mistreatment of animals, or deliberate disruption of events will not be tolerated.

If your actions diminish the experience of others, staff may ask you to correct your behavior. If you choose not to—or if the offense is severe—you will be removed from The Viking Farm without refund.

This is a place of learning and celebration, not lawlessness. Act accordingly.

ON CHILDREN, CHAOS, AND CONSEQUENCES

Clan Rúnda treasures children, and The Viking Farm is a family-friendly space. That said, our warriors and farmfolk are not sworn to the sacred duty of babysitting.

Children must remain under the watchful eye of their parent or guardian at all times. Should any child engage in raiding, pillaging, property damage, animal harassment, excessive disruption, or any behavior we deem unfit for The Viking Farm, the child will be asked to depart—along with their accompanying adult.

No exceptions. No heroic speeches.

ON BEASTS AND BOUNDARIES

This is a working farm with livestock. For the safety of our animals, our guests, and your companion, no pets of any kind are allowed on the property.

Yes—we understand what a real service animal is, and how one behaves. Legitimate service animals are highly trained, under control at all times, and do not bark, lunge, chase livestock, or create chaos.

Any animal that behaves otherwise may be required to leave, regardless of what vest it is wearing. This is not the place for them.

ON MEAD AND KNOWING THY LIMITS

Outside alcohol is not permitted on The Viking Farm. Clan Rúnda may, at times however, allow the responsible enjoyment of alcohol for those of legal drinking age.

Drunkenness, however, is not bravery, and chaos is not a virtue. Any guest who becomes excessively intoxicated—through slurred speech, staggering, belligerence, poor judgment, or other mead-fueled heroics—will be asked to leave the grounds immediately.

This decision rests solely with Clan Rúnda and its staff and is not open to debate, negotiation, or “one last drink to steady the nerves.” If you are removed for intoxication, your evening ends there. Ride home safely and reflect on your choices.

ON ATTIRE

The Viking Farm celebrates creativity, craftsmanship, and the spirit of the Viking Age. Costumes are strongly encouraged but not required. You may arrive in full regalia, humble garb, or modern clothing without shame.

That said, all guests must be properly clothed. Garments must cover what common sense, decency, and local law require. Clothing—or lack thereof—that is excessively revealing, offensive, or clearly intended to shock rather than participate may result in removal from the grounds.

In short: dress as a Viking, a traveler, or a modern mortal—but dress like an adult who knows where they are.

ON THINGS THAT ARE NOT WELCOME HERE

Clan Rúnda welcomes all who arrive in good faith, regardless of race, gender, sexuality, ability, faith, or background. The Viking Farm is a place for shared experience, not ideological crusades.

Hate speech, discriminatory behavior, harassment, or symbols of hate are strictly forbidden. Political statements, religious preaching, and argumentative provocations—no matter how passionate—are also not welcome on these grounds.

Those who bring division, hatred, or intimidation into this space will be removed immediately. There will be no warnings, no debates, and no second chances. The clan stands united.

HEED THIS WARNING, TRAVELER

You have entered a living, breathing historical farm. This land contains:

  • Large and small animals with minds of their own

  • Uneven ground, mud, rocks, and roots

  • Tools, weapons, machinery, fire, and sharp things

  • Smoke, dust, pollen, hay, fur, and other allergens

  • Loud noises, sudden movements, and surprises

Animals may misbehave. The ground does not care if you trip.

By entering these grounds, you do so of your own free will and accept all risks thereof. Clan Rúnda is not responsible for injury, illness, allergic reactions, damaged belongings, or death—yes, even if the story sounds impressive later.

Proceed with caution. Watch your step. Mind the animals.
If this troubles you, turn back now.
